Keep the editions.
Make changes traceable.

Translation editions and software updates are different things. This is a record of the translation releases supported by the available evidence.

Nichijoyaku was created using AI. A complete review by human biblical-language and biblical-studies specialists has not been established. Read alongside established translations and original-language resources.

tokens / 5,465 requests. The whole-project total remains unknown.

Only 1094 chapter files matching the audit’s input hashes are included; 95 differ and 1 is missing. Source records are not one-to-one with published verses. This range is not a complete project start/end log.

Repeated runs and recovered usage

The project requester reports repeatedly exhausting their quota during development. The previous 1,245,091 figure counted only 38 release-review requests and did not represent the scale of producing the translation. Requester account ↗

From 13,146 local Claude session files covering September 11–12, 2026 (UTC), we recovered 5,465 model responses with usage, removing 3,463 duplicate usage records.

The Haiku records include CLI work such as session labeling; they are not all classified as scripture translation or evaluation.

There are also 7,691 distinct rate-limit error records. That is a count of error entries, not separate quota-exhaustion episodes. No consumed tokens are inferred from these errors.

The complete project total is still unknown. Other dates, machines, deleted history and unrecorded runs are excluded. Input, cache creation, cache reads and output are counted once per response. These token counts are not a measurement of subscription-quota consumption or a bill.

This small subtotal comes from the alignment, repair and verification audit. It is not added to the local-run total above and does not represent the project’s overall cost or usage.

Identifying the artifact

Published-reader CSV SHA-256:

81bea7c9372bf25311f59f0a236bd86b9314b1ba803f630fee06883c0995d8f2

A punctuation-only correction (582 sentence-final 「…」。 changed to 「…。」) replaced the earlier hash 5514825d…200b0c with eb0e7762…84603a. Removing a stray opening 「 at the start of four verses (and, in Matt 8:4, the extra 」 it was paired with) gave 40deb2f5…8f08aa. Adding, removing or swapping only quotation brackets in 224 verses, so that each speech opens and closes where Kougo’s does, gave 6c5df75f…cdc7; no words changed. Removing a stray ASCII quotation mark and comma left at the end of 10 verses, and correcting イエS to イエス in Mark 1:20, gave the current hash.

The manifest supplies individual hashes for all 66 books and the source audit. These identify artifacts; they are not quality scores.

What can be said about corrections

The translator README refers to 147 corrections and 379 numbering-related repairs. Some linked supporting reports are absent from the pinned tracked revision examined for this site. Those counts are therefore not presented here as independently verified achievements.

Edition 1 is the release documented in this collection. No edition 2 date or completion schedule is announced here.

A proposed record for future editions

Each future release should preserve its name, date, exact text, before-and-after references and wording, reasons for changes, human and AI responsibilities, unresolved issues, verification results, and reuse terms. This is a proposed documentation standard, not a claim that edition 1 already has a complete public record at that level.
