04 / VERIFICATION
What was checked.
What remains open.
Transparency includes stating the limits of a successful check.
Nichijoyaku was created using AI. A complete review by human biblical-language and biblical-studies specialists has not been established. Read alongside established translations and original-language resources.
Checked: artifact integrity
On October 3, 2026, checks against the pinned local checkout matched all 66 book hashes and the audit hash to the release manifest. Book, chapter, and verse counts also matched. The local reader CSV matched the hash documented in the September 12 migration record.
This is verification of saved local artifacts. It is not a fresh download and comparison of the currently served website text.
Supporting record ↗ release-verification.jsonRecorded in the audit: reference alignment
The audit summary records 31,101 resolved destination references, with zero unresolved missing passages, conflicting destinations, or held records. Reviewer labels for 2,045 sensitive records identify AI tools.
Zero refers to those audit categories. It does not mean zero translation errors or prove that every source-language meaning is represented correctly.
Supporting record ↗ alignment-summary.jsonNot established by this evidence
Complete per-run models and settings, total expenditure, some correction reports, and the full historical inputs and outputs are not present in the public record. Available evidence and gaps remain distinct.
AI generation and AI evaluation may share blind spots. Model scores and software test coverage are not percentages of translation accuracy.
Gaps in the public record
Use Contribute to suggest a correction to any verse, word or furigana reading in edition 1 without signing in. A submission retains the text and reading it addresses; it is never silently attached to a later edition. No response deadline is promised.
An MIT label for software alone does not establish permission to reuse the translation or its source corpora.
Reporting and considering errors
When reporting a passage from JapanBible.net, identify “Nichijoyaku edition 1,” book/chapter/verse, the disputed wording, the reason for concern, and relevant original-language or established-translation evidence. This project site does not yet provide a dedicated submission channel or response deadline.
Receiving a suggestion, reviewing it, and changing the text are distinct events to record. Suggestions are not automatically accepted.
